A. BUT HOW CAN A PERSON SUPPORT VENCL DANCE?
1. A way for any one at all to support Vencl Dance Trio is the one way that matters most, simply by coming to concerts. Our next concert is scheduled for June 18th, 19th, 20th at the Cunningham Studio, NYC where we will premier a one-hour work, Changing Places.
2. Anyone can critique this website so we can better serve our audience. Comment. Or e-mail me at susan@vencldance.org.
3. A way employers can support us is by permitting flexible work schedules for dancers, musicians and costumers.
4. A way educational institutions can support us is by encouraging students to collaborate with us in projects involving advanced and emerging technologies in the arts.
5. It is also possible to support us through the Field with tax-deductible contributions in the form of checks. Checks made out to the Field and earmarked for Vencl Dance support both organizations.
B. HOW WILL THE MONEY BE SPENT?
1. Rest assured funds I receive will be spent. I will combine what I receive with my own resources to pay dancers and rent studio space. Currently I am renting space at Battery Dance, One Hundred Grande Street, Chen and Dancers, Panetta Movement Center, Gina Gibney Dance, and PMT.
2. I will strengthen ties to those in our audience who most value the dances themselves by creating and maintaining a web presence.
3. I will make a dance specifically for home viewing so that people of all ages can watch, whenever and wherever they choose and as often as they like, a dance with a contemporary American based (not European based) structure and style involving living American artists, choreographer/dancers/musicians. I will then give DVD’s away.
