Changing Places

LISA BOSTWICK  is a native of upstate New York and Bostwick began her dance training at the age of twelve at a small school in Western New York and continued her formal training at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, BalletMet and Butler University where she received a B.S in Arts Administration. Lisa performed with the Alabama Ballet for seven years and was seen in soloist and principal roles in classical ballets such as The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Swan Lake  and George Balanchine’s Divertimento #15.  Ms. Bostwick has also performed in contemporary and modern works by choreographers such as Margi Cole, Craig Patterson, Robert Battle, Johan Renval and Teri Weksler, the director of Birmingham’s resident modern dance company Southern Dancerworks, with which she performed for nine years.  Ms. Bostwick has taught for nearly 20 years throughout the country and is currently on the faculties of the Mark Morris Center for Dance and Dancewave in Brooklyn, as well as Summer Dance Lab at Whitman College in Washington State.
